Hydraulic Structures

Gabions are widely used for culvert protection, bridge abutment works and cascade structures.

Haul Roads
|
Access roads utilize geotextiles, geogrids or other geosynthetic solutions to reinforce the road and provide a more durable haul road, especially on weak or saturated soil. Gabions can provide the facing system for the retaining walls along haul roads and access tracks.

Retaining Walls
|
Gabions have been widely used to construct walls for a variety of mining solutions. Vertical dump walls in excess of 75 ft. (23m) have been constructed using Maccaferri design software and products.
