MacGrid® EG

MacGrid® EG biaxial geogrids are manufactured from punched and extruded polypropylene. With high junction strength and available in a range of tensile strengths, MacGrid® EG geogrids are ideal for soft soil stabilization, road base reinforcement, and temporary roads where rutting and construction thickness of the road can be reduced. MacGrid® EG biaxial geogrids offer a more durable and cost-effective solution to reinforce base course sections as well as stabilize weakened subgrades.

Maccaferri MacGrid® EG geogrids are now available with no patent infringements and are manufactured in the United States, in compliance with USA regulations and standards. MacGrid® EG geogrids are designed to distribute applied loads over a greater area, reducing vertical pressure on the subgrade, which reinforces and stabilizes the base course materials and reduces the thickness of the granular structure layer required.

MacGrid® EG biaxial geogrids offer superior results at lower costs and without the environmental hazards of chemical stabilization methods or impeding internal drainage.

Maccaferri MacGrid® EG offers:

  • DESIGN STRENGTH and DURABILITY
    Composed of one layer of high strength extruded biaxial oriented polypropylene, the MacGrid® EG is resistant to installation damage, long term degradation, UV degradation, and chemicals found in most soil environments. The high tensile strength and junction efficiency of biaxial geogrids confines and restrains aggregate from lateral movement, ensuring proper distribution of imposed stresses and ultimately extending service life. MacGrid® EG is designed to provide the high tensile strength required in soil stabilization and base reinforcement applications, in both machine and transverse roll directions.

    MacGrid® EG biaxial geogrids reduce costs by reducing the aggregate thickness and materials required.
  • CONSTRUCTION EFFICIENCY
