Polyurethane resins are chemical products that are mixed before the grouting stage to create a light weight and expansive closed cell foam. When it comes into contact with water, it forms a foam that blocks any accidental inflow of water. It is also widely used to fill the cavities that sometimes form or are encountered during tunnel excavation work.
