B Zero Tondo Steel Arches
B Zero Tondo Steel Arches consist of pre-shaped steel sections to provide first stage support. Variations have also been implemented in order to improve installation, with the use of parts of the arches that are extendable PMET, thereby making the installed rib immediately active. Textile sacks, known as BIM BAGS, are also placed behind the B Zero Tondo steel arches. When they are inflated, using the same mortar as the shotcrete, they perfectly fill the spaces behind the B Zero Tondo steel arches.
