New TV Show features the installation of Maccaferri’s avalanche protection nets in the Italian Dolomites

On April 22, 2013, the Italian digital TV channel Dmax showed some stages of the installation process of Maccaferri’s snow net barriers in the Italian Dolomites, near the Pordoi pass.
 
The show, Mountain Heroes, follows the operations of the helicopter relief team of Aiut Alpin Dolomites and the operations of the helicopter services Company Elikos.
 
The 5th episode of Season 1, focused on the installation of the snow nets highlighting the importance of the prevention in order to minimize avalanche risks ensuring greater security to infrastructures and tourists. The Maccaferri snow nets are easily distinguishable and represent a part of the snow nets Maccaferri supplied to Pordoi S.p.A in order to protect infrastructure and people from the avalanche risk.
 
The Pordoi Pass is located at 2,239 m and connects two of the most attractive ski areas in the Sella Ronda Mountains: Arabba and Canazei. This area entertains a massive influx of people who want to enjoy the winter sports season. They can enjoy the mountain in safety thanks to the pivotal contribution of Maccaferri snow nets!
